Other performance credits include a starring role as Paula McFadden in the West Coast Premier of "The Good-bye Girl", as well as a featured role in "The Will Roger's Follies", Don Arden's "Jubilee" in Las Vegas, and a year long contract as a Los Angeles Rams Cheerleader (way back when...).
Tori began training to become a Pilates instructor in 1996, and holds certifications in multiple Pilates training methods, including STOTT PILATES®. Additionally she holds certifications for Group Fitness and Personal Training from AFAA, Aquatic Certifications through PADI and FitTour, and memberships with IDEA and Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).
Tori has worked with NHL players from the New Jersey Devils, and has consulted with the head coach of professional AFL football teams in San Diego, CA, Wichita, KS and Davenport, IL. Locally she has worked with the Cornell Women's swim Team, the Ithaca Swim Club, professional dancers from the New England Ballet Company, and has instructed classes at Ithaca College. Tori completed training in Yamuna Body Rolling® in Nov. 2008 and is currently studying Somatics. |
Montivero-Cole and Brown opened the region's first Pilates studio, The PILATES Room , in 2001. They created and trademarked AQUALATES® - Pilates Inspired Aquatics in 2006, and currently offer unparalleled aquatics training and certification programs nationally. With an emphasis on client education, the pair continue to expand upon their personal certifications with several hours of continuing education every year, and offer their clients and students superior insight into the movement of each exercise, whether Pilates or AQUALATES® based.
The PILATES Room is the region's most full-service studio, offering group mat and reformer classes, open gym sessions, private training, workshops, and comprehensive Pilates and AQUALATES® certifications. Our instructors are unarguably the best in both classical and contemporary Pilates training methods.

Leslie Roseman, LMT - PACNY Pilates
Qualified Instructor
Leslie,
although born in Richmond Virginia, is a native
to the Ithaca area. Born and raised in the hospitality
business, she moved to Lansing in 1983 where
her parents opened The Rose Inn; a prestigious
country inn. After learning the hotel trade she
lived on the West Coast for 5 years. She came
back to settle and raise a family and work in
the family business.
Leslie has always loved massage therapy and
graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage
in 2001 and became a licensed massage therapist.
She also became a certified Aromatherapist
in 2001 and owns Life Escents Aromatherapy
that creates all natural body products. After
graduating she worked as a therapist and was
trained in spa therapy at Mirbeau Inn and Spa.
She also worked for Innerscapes Healing Arts
and Spa. She hoped to combine this knowledge
with her families inn to create an Inn and
Spa. Unfortunately the Rose Inn was destroyed
in a fire in 2005. She continued on this path
by helping to open the August Moon spa at LaTourelle
where she was the consultant to help create
the spa, aromatherapy products, and hire and
train staff.
Leslie now enjoys her private practice of
4 years at 122 West Court St in downtown Ithaca,
where she incorporates a variety of massage
techniques. She is always interested in pursuing
new avenues in her healing practice including
Trager training, Acupressure, and constantly
continuing her education and growth as a practitioner.
Upon using Pilates for her own wellness and
healing program, and recommending this training
to her clients, she decided to pursue the Pilates
training with PACNY (Pilates
Associates of Central NY). She chose the
contemporary training because of it's focus
on anatomical and postural guidelines, and
the incorporation of physical therapy techniques
and sports rehab was complimentary to her massage
training. Leslie has superior knowledge of
the body from her massage practice which extends
to her pilates practice. With an eye and understanding
of the muscular and skeletal systems of the
body, she is able to understand and create
an effective program for balancing, strengthening,
and toning each individual's body. She uses
her combined knowledge to help clients create
body awareness. She uses this Holistic approach
to Pilates therapy looking at it from many
angles to help create understanding and balance
for each client.
