Seeking Qualified Instructors and Sales Reps
The
PILATES Room is a beautiful, state-of-the-art,
fully-equipped facility boasting panoramic
views of the hillsides in Ithaca, NY. Our
main studio is located within the business
tower of a 65,000 sq foot
health club & wellness
center and shares the second floor with Rasa
Spa, the region's premiere day spa. The Island
Health Center is also home to Cayuga Sports
Medecine, Cayuga Medical Center's Physical
Therapy Department, and Cayuga Center for Healthy
Living.
The PILATES Room exclusively
provides mat and apparatus classes
to health club members in a dedicated Pilates
classroom within the health club, in addition
to private and duet instruction in the studio.
We are always looking for serious, career-minded,
professionals to teach small group classes,
instruct individuals in private training
sessions, and offer sales assistance to our
diverse community.

Pilates Instructor
We currently have openings for Pilates Instructors
with evening & weekend availability.
Part-time to start, with full-time potential.
Must be comfortable instructing individuals
and small group classes (including reformer
classes). Our clients range in age from
early 20's through 80's, thus instructors
must be comfortable working with all ages
and abilities. Additionally, a background
in post-rehab is a plus as many of of our
private training clients and class participants
have been directly referred to our studio
by Cayuga Medical Center's Physical Therapy
department.
Though we do provide
you with clientele, the ideal candidate must
be motivated and self-promoting as well.

Qualifications:
- Fully Certified Instructor.
- We
will consider hiring an individual with
only mat and reformer certifications
if the intent is toward a full certification
in the very near future.
- STOTT
PILATES, BASI or other modern certifications
preferred but we will consider classically
trained instructors who are willing to modify
spinal positioning to accommodate our post-rehab
clientele.
- Minimum
1 year teaching experience.
- Must
be self-promoting.
- Liability insurance is required.
- CPR Certification required.
Sales Associate
We are looking for an energetic sales person
to bring us to the next level. The qualified
candidate will be professional and self motivated,
with the ability to close sales in the studio,
generate leads, assist in marketing and promotions,
follow up with leads and new clients.
The qualified candidate will have a minimum
of 1 yr sales experience, and though an understanding
of Pilates is desirable, we are willing to
train the right team player. Must be able
to self direct and multitask.
The Sales Associate is responsible for
selling group training and
private instruction to qualified individuals
and corporate prospects. You must be willing
to commit to meeting or exceeding personal monthly
goals and team goals. Demonstrate understanding
of product, including knowledge of general benefits,
equipment vs. mat, private training vs. duet
training vs. classes, general programming. Develop
and maintain a prospect lead generation system
for corporate entities and individual clients
by telemarketing, outside
cold calling, class passes, walk-ins, and referrals
while maintaining a prospect lead follow-up system.
Utilize standardized sales techniques including
greeting, interest, money, decision, presentation,
closing and post sales skills. Performs other
lead duties as assigned.
